APPOV Personal Leadership Coaching

APPOV: A Powerful Point of View Personal Conflict & Leadership Coaching

The Codeswitch is exhausting. At work, you calibrate every word, manage every reaction, and perform composure you don’t always feel — because the environment demands it. Maybe you can’t take your frustration to your manager. Maybe HR feels like a risk rather than a resource. Maybe you’ve been carrying this situation alone because there is no safe place inside your organization to put it down. APPOV is that place. Here, you don’t have to perform. You don’t have to be measured. You can say the thing you’ve been editing out of every conversation — and then we get to work.

Conflict has a way of narrowing your vision right when you need it most. When you’re in it, it’s hard to think clearly, hard to anticipate what’s coming, and easy to step in something you can’t clean off your shoe. APPOV is conflict coaching for the individual — not a team intervention, not an organizational process, but a focused, private engagement designed to help you hear the tick of the pilot light before the situation becomes a raging fire. You’ll leave with more than relief. You’ll leave with a point of view powerful enough to change what you do next.

APPOV is for you if:

  • You’re managing a conflict at work that you can’t discuss openly inside your organization
  • You’re tired of reacting and ready to start anticipating
  • You need a confidential space to think out loud before you make a move
  • You’re done pretending to be unbothered — and ready to do something about it
  • You want strategy, not just sympathy

What’s included:

  • Two 45-minute 1:1 coaching sessions with Mylena Sutton
  • A personalized assessment tool selected for your specific situation
  • Assessment review and analysis before your second session
  • Flexible scheduling — including lunch hour and after-hours availability

This is a personal investment. Nobody has to know.

Because APPOV is self-funded, it stays entirely outside your organization’s systems. There is no employer involvement, no HR documentation, no paper trail. Your calendar, your business. We’re flexible about when we meet — if a lunch session or an after-hours appointment works better for your situation, we’ll make it work. Discretion is part of the service.

What we actually do together.

We start where you are. Before we build any strategy, you’ll have the space to put the situation down exactly as it feels — unfiltered, unedited, and without the performance. That’s not a warm-up. That’s the work. Venting isn’t weakness; it’s debridement. You can’t think clearly about a wound you haven’t cleaned out.

From there, we move to the situation itself. What’s actually happening? What are the dynamics at play — interpersonal, cultural, organizational? Where are the pressure points, and which ones are you actually in a position to influence? Most importantly: what does the situation look like from a higher elevation? Because where you stand when you look at a problem determines what you can see — and what you can see determines what you can do.

The assessment isn’t a personality quiz. It’s a tool we choose together based on what will give you the most useful information for your specific situation. We’ll explore options in your first session, you’ll complete it between sessions, and by the time we meet again, you’ll have data about yourself that helps explain why this conflict is hitting the way it’s hitting — and what to do about it.

Anticipation is the goal.

Most people enter conflict coaching because something has already escalated. APPOV works best when you can hear the tick of the pilot light — that early signal that a situation is building toward something harder to manage. Part of what we build together is that capacity: to recognize the early signs, regulate your response, and make deliberate choices instead of reactive ones. Rage and anxiety are terrible advisors. A powerful point of view is a much better one.
